The Embassy wishes to inform the general public that with effect from 1st July, 2007, payment and processing of Visa and Passport applications must be made online through the E-Immigration Platform (www.immigration.gov.ng).

COMMENCEMENT OF THE ISSUANCE OF NEW STANDARD E-PASSPORT New

 

The Embassy of Nigeria is pleased to inform Nigerians in the Netherlands that the Embassy has started processing and issuance of the new standard e-passport. Nigerians are therefore advised to start the process of applying for the new e-passport by visiting the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) website at (www.immigration.gov.ng). and follow the procedures stipulated.

Upon completion of the application process for e-passport online through the www.immigration.gov.ng and having paid and printed out the duly completed application form as well as NIS e-receipt or acknowledgement slip, the applicant should proceed to the Embassy for enrolment.

 EMBASSY FOR THE PROVISION OF CONSULAR OR VISA SERVICES  

The Consular Visa Section of the Embassy of Nigeria at The Hague would like to inform the members of the public and its numerous customers that it does not have or has not engaged the services of any Consular Visa Agent, tout, company, firm, organization or any person or any Embassy staff not officially designated as Consular Visa staff, to act in any manner for or on behalf of the Embassy in providing any type of Consular or Visa services.

Members of the public and our numerous customers are therefore warned, in their own interest, to desist from patronizing any such purported Agent, persons or companies or any Embassy staff not officially designated as Consular Visa staff, claiming to act for or on behalf of the Consular Visa Section of the Embassy of Nigeria.

Under no circumstances shall the Embassy of Nigeria at The Hague or its officially designated Consular Visa staff be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential, any inaccuracy, deletion, defect, alteration or timeliness or completeness, fault, error, omission, interruption or delay, loss, damage, liability or expense incurred or suffered that is claimed to have resulted from the patronage or use or consultation of any such, Agent, persons or companies or any Embassy staff not officially designated as Consular Visa staff.

Reliance upon any advice, opinion, statement, or other information from such persons other than from an officially designated Consular Visa staff shall be at the User’s own risk.

REPORTING CASES OF BRIBERY,

 ABUSES, CORRUPTION, INDUCEMENT ETC.

AT THE CONSULAR VISA SECTION OF THE EMBASSY

Members of the public and customers processing visa or passport applications or seeking for other consular services are hereby informed that the Embassy has provided, below, telephone numbers they can call to report Agents/Touts claiming to work for Embassy, complaints of unsatisfactory service, cases of sharp practices, inducement, bribery, abuses and inappropriate behavior by officials. Especially in the following cases:

¨  If and when any person claims to be able to influence your visa or passport application or offers or promises to provide consular visa services or demands for any fee or money, other than Consular Visa staff acting in his official capacity; and,

¨  If an official of the Consular Visa Section of any Consular visa staff demands for any extra fee or money outside or other than the officially stipulated fee. 

Your visa or passport application can only be processed and decided by a Consular visa staff at the Consular Visa Section of the Embassy. Other persons cannot offer or give Consular advice and they are not able to influence the outcome of your visa or passport application.

Customers should at all times ensure that they are issued receipts for all payments of fees in respect of processing visas or passport applications or provision of other consular services.
