The Embassy wishes to inform the general public that with effect from 1st July, 2007, payment and processing of Visa and Passport applications must be made online through the E-Immigration Platform (www.immigration.gov.ng).
Visas
The
Visa Section of the Embassy handles Visa Applications and is open
to the Public on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:30am
and 12:00pm for Visa applications and between 2.30pm and 3.00pm
for collections except on Public Holidays.
All visitors are required to have a visa to Nigeria except for citizens
of countries belonging to Economic Community of West African States
(ECOWAS).
It is noteworthy that, visa applications submitted on Mondays and
Tuesdays will be collected on Thursdays and those submitted on Thursdays
will be collected on Mondays. Visa
Forms that are not fully Completed, Signed and Dated, or with Incomplete
Requirements and Supporting Documents will not
be Accepted
Cash
Payments are not accepted but payment to the Bank should only be
made after approval by the visa department after the interview.
Only applications attached with Evidence of Payment (Bank Receipt)
will receive immediate attention. There are no refunds!! Those who
paid through Inter-Bank or Telephone Transactions etc., should send/fax
evidence of such transactions to the Embassy THREE WORKING DAYS
before they come for the service paid for.
General
Requirements
-
Evidence of Sufficient Fund for the duration of the visit or proof
of other satisfactory arrangements for your support while in Nigeria.
- Applicants may be requested to come for an Interview as
and when necessary
- Applicants must take along their Current Vaccination Certificate (Yellow
Card)
- Completion
of Visa Application form
- SEA MEN
must submit a copy of the relevant pages of their seaman’s book.

TYPES
OF VISAS
I. Visitor,
Tourist And Transit Visas
- Valid
Passport (At least 6 months to Expiration).
- One
recent Coloured Passport Photograph.
- A
copy of round-trip ticket/ flight itenary (Applies to all applicants)
- Letter
of Invitation accpeting immigration responsibility, evidence of
financial support while in Nigeria from individual Nigerians or
Nigerian Organization residing in The Netherlands and photocopy(ies)
of passport should be included with a copy of his/her residence
permit.
- Yellow
Fever Inoculation Card.
- Applicants for transit visas must
submit copies of their onward tickets and visas to their final
destinations.
- Children must submit copies of their
birth certificates showing names of their both parents
- Children of Nigerian parents must
submit copies of their first 5 pages or information page of one
of their parents' passport.
- Tourist must submit copies of their
certified hotel reservation statements.
- Applicants must provide copies of
contract of employment, or recent salary pay slip or recent bank
statements.
- Resident aliens inviting friends
must submit copies of their resident permit and the first three
pages of their passports.
- Aliens married to Nigerians or invited
by Nigerians must submit copies of their hosts' spouses passports
and letter acceptiing responsibility.

II.
Business, Education
And Religious Visas
- Valid
passport (At least 6 months to expiration)
- One
recent Colored Passport-sized Photograph

A copy of round-trip

- If
going for business, letter of invitation from the company or business
organization stating the reason must be submitted and also a guarantee
letter from the applicants' Organization/Company.
- If
going for religious purpose, approval from the Ministry of Internal
Affairs, Abuja, Nigeria must be submitted.
- If
going for Educational visit, a letter of invitation from the host
University or School stating its purpose must be submitted.

If a student, you
must submit a copy of your identification card, with an accompanying
letter from your institution.
- Vaccination
Certificate (Yellow Fever Card)

III. Temporary
Work Permit (TWP)
- A
Valid passport (at least 6 months to expiration)
- One
recent Colored Passport Photograph
- Approval
from Nigeria for Temporary Work Permit (TWP) (Original Copy)
- An
invitation letter from company or business partner in Nigeria
stating reason for the trip.
- Letter
of sponsorship from their employer – Dutch Company
- Vaccination
Certificate (Yellow Fever Card)

IV.
Subject To Regularization
(STR)
- A
Valid passport (at least 6 months to expiration)
- Completed application forms in Quadruplicate
for all applicants
- Four recent full-face Colored Photographs
for all applicants
- Four certified copies of expatriate
quota approval from Nigeria or approval from Nigeria for STR.
- Four certified and legalized copies
of all credentials and certificates.
- Four copies of Letter of Employment
- Four copies of letter of Acceptance
- Four copies of marriage certificate
(Original copy must be shown)
- Four copies of birth certificate
(Original copy must be shown) if accompanied by a child.
